Welcome to Disha 

In Sanskrit, Disha means direction. We are a group of "young at heart" individuals, brought together by a common desire to make a difference in the world. We have teamed up with the India Association of Charlotte, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to form IAC-Disha the philanthropic branch of this organization.

Our goal is simple: To help support specific, individualized projects in India and elsewhere, chiefly through fundraising activities. We want to take charity work in a whole new "disha", by:

• Working with small, FOCUSED projects
• Finding projects that demonstrate IMMEDIATE impact
• Working DIRECTLY with project leaders
• Finding the NEED and filling it
• Stressing the FUN in FUNdraising!

This allows us to assure our donors of the efficiency and direct impact of their contribution. With this concept, there is no limit to what we can do! Our first event, Dhoom Machaale was a super success! We raised enough funds to support a school in Dharampur, Gujarat for a whole year.
